Embarking on the journey to become a Secular Franciscan means progressing through three key stages, culminating in a lifelong commitment to living the Gospel in the spirit of St. Francis.
We invite you to begin the journey !
It starts with Orientation, where you connect with our fraternity, learn about the Franciscan lifestyle, and explore the lives of Saints Francis and Clare. We invite you to join us for at least three meetings as part of the discernment process in your Orientation. Our meetings begin with prayer, include meal time, formation, and so much more.
Next step is Inquiry. During the Inquiry phase you will deepen your understanding of the Franciscan way through formal instruction and reflection on the Gospel. Prayer and reflection continue to guide your journey.
Candidacy is the final step. Candidacy marks a mutual recognition between you and the fraternity of your shared Franciscan vocation. You continue to embrace the Franciscan values with simplicity and joy.
Upon completing Candidacy, you make a permanent Profession of the Rule, joining the fraternity in “ongoing formation.”
Our meetings begin with a rosary at 1pm in Our Lady of Sorrows Chapel.
Blessed to be at Marytown, at 1:30, we pray the Liturgy of the Hours beneath the Blessed Sacrament.
Next stop is the Friar's dining room to share in food, community, a meeting, formation, and the Divine Mercy Chaplet.

Our meetings start with the rosary in the Our Lady of Sorrows chapel at Marytown. We then pray the liturgy of the hours before gathering in the Friar's lounge for food, conversation, formation and the Divine Mercy Chaplet at 3:00 pm.
